*****PRE - SEASON TRAINING *****
Pre - season training for all open age teams begins on Tuesday 23rd June 2009 at 6.30pm at Tandle Hills, under coaches Sam Butterworth, Tony Appleyard and Dean Hartley. Training will then continue each Tuesday at Tandle Hills at 6.30pm and each Thursday at the club at 6.30pm. All old, existing and new players are welcome.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE LEAGUE SUMMER - PENNINE DIVISION
The last few weeks have seen us compete in the National Conference League summer - Pennine division against Ovenden and Saddleworth, with Bradford Dudley Hill to come. The latter two are clubs we will face in the forthcoming winter league. The results have not been favourable and some critisism has been aimed at the teams and our presence in the competition. The bottom line is that some time ago, as a Club, we decided to enter this ‘experimental’ league. We therefore have a committment to see through our involvement- regardless of results. It has been suggested in the press that players would be better served being involved in pre-season training, but I see this as a ‘glass half empty / full’ situation, in that the lads representing the club in these games are doing so proudly and to the best of their ability. As a club we should support them and as indiviuals they should be inspired to use the results as motivation to train harder to become better players. Knowing the boys playing, I’m sure they will and knowing the club I’m sure we can take positives from such ‘experiments’.

MAYFIELD MUSTANGS NEWS
U13′S Pre Season Training starts this Thursday Balderstone Park 6:45. As from next week training will be Tuesdays 6:45 @ Balderstone Park. Boots,Trainers & drink req’d.
U16′S pre season training continues tuesdays and thursdays 6pm at Balderstone.
MEMBERSHIP SECTION
Memberships of the club will be due in August 2009.
Members of the club will be entitled to use of the soon to be refurbished members lounge at the club, reduced cost use of the function room, reduced bar prices, subscription to the newsletter and the comforting knowledge that they are assisting the club in it’s aim to make Rugby league accessible to the people of Rochdale. Vice Presidents will also get acknowledgment in the matchday programme.
Playing member (includes registration) £20.
Member (full and associate) £10.
Vice President (full and associate) £25.
Junior (via Mustangs) £5.
*full members are entitled to vote at AGM’s and Club meetings, associate members have all benefits bar this. The status of a member will be determined by the club Committee.
Dean Hartley and Jack Ashworth are leading on the membership of the club, so contact them, or indeed any committee member, for details and an application form.
